A sit down before to discuss editing wishes meant we captured not only this beautiful girl, but the vibes she envisioned!

A Senior Session That Stretched My Creative Vision
As a member of my Class of 2026 Icon Team, Aili came into her senior session with a clear creative vision and a specific editing style she loved. While I have my own artistic approach that defines my work, I am always open to conversations about inspiration and ideas seniors may have. We talked through her vision ahead of time and planned the session in a way that allowed me to explore something new while staying true to what photographs well.

Locations in Paw Paw and Kalamazoo, Michigan
Aili’s senior photo session took place across locations in Paw Paw and Kalamazoo, Michigan, including Al Sabo Land Preserve. These settings offered a mix of natural scenery and variety that complemented her style and allowed her personality to come through. Planning sessions across multiple locations helps create a well rounded gallery while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable.

Balancing Artistic Style with Personal Vision
Every senior session begins with my artistic style as a foundation, but the final images should always feel like the person in front of the camera. When seniors come in with ideas or inspiration, I am happy to talk through what that could look like and see if it is something we can thoughtfully incorporate. The best sessions happen when creativity and comfort come together.
Senior photos are about more than just images. They are about creating something personal and meaningful that reflects who you are during this season of life. If you have a vision for your senior session or are looking for guidance to bring ideas together, I would love to talk through what that could look like.
